Using Firefox to Blog

An extension for Firefox was introduced this week so I thought I would give it a try.

I can’t find a button for viewing this post on the actual blog, so I am not sure what it will look like. I have put a check in the “draft” box and click on “save note”. When I log into my WordPress account, I do not see the draft. If the post is written using the Firefox extension, I assume it can not be edited through my WordPress account. Once it is published, will I be able to revise it using WordPress or will I have to use the Firefox extension?

RSS Feeds

I understand the difference between bookmarks and feeds (the class blog makes it very clear), but I am not sure about feed readers. Firefox lists my feeds across the top in the toolbar. IE puts them in my Favorites. Maybe I need to read that section again.

Time to publish

No time like the present to click that button and hope for the best!

  1. It looks good. I loved that original banner though — just my opinion. :)

I’m with you regarding the readers — I haven’t concentrated enough on that to understand them. I use Firefox, and have about five feeds listed across the top. Don’t know where the others will go… hmm…

Thank you Barb. I plan to change the banner if and when I ever come up with an original idea and have time to do it. There really is a lot to this blogging business!

I think the draft should show under manage posts..if I’m remember where I saw mine. I tried the plugin too if you mean scribefire but I just went ahead and said publish. And it worked like a charm ;) I’m adding all my feeds to google reader. Then I just have to remember to go there ;)

That sounds really scary if you write your posts in Firefox & can’t alter it. I ALWAYS find something I want to change once it is published.

    Hi quirkyartist,

Surely there is a way to preview what the page will look like and I just couldn’t find it. But once it was published, I was able to go into my Worpress account and make any changes needed. Thank goodness!

Thanks Bean. I had found what you are talking about and had to publish to see it in context. Thanks for confirming that what I thought was correct.

Thanks Samtex. When I have a little more free time I will check out the Google reader.
