To Socialize or Not to Socialize
There is a lot more to this blogging business than I ever dreamed. Now that I am actually giving it a try, do I really want people to be able to find me?
I visited the BlogCatalog and was able to find Sliloh’s Rambles quite easily. I just typed in the name and hit the enter key. Voila! There it was. It sounds like Sliloh may think this is a little scary too.
Maybe the entire class should join BlogCatalog and we could start our own little group on

I’m agreeing with you on this one! Way more out there than I ever thought about being and much more involved. I haven’t had much time to look around blogcatalog yet but what a great idea.

That is why I have been stressing planning ahead on how private-public you want to be in the blogging class. Social networking is really powerful and a lot of that power relates to how you can jump from person to person, profile to profile. That means you can attract a real audience of real people. That can be exciting or it can be scary. If you have information, ideas, art or a product that you want to get out there it can be exciting. If you are vulnerable, and aren’t we all, it can be scary. Plan accordingly.
